Adam Boyes, the co-CEO of Iron Galaxy, has announced plans to step down from his position at the Rumbleverse developer.
Boyes became CEO of Iron Galaxy in June 2016 after holding leadership positions at PlayStation, Capcom and Midway Games. In November 2020, Chelsea Blasko was named co-CEO alongside Boyes. With Boyes’ departure, Blasko will take over his responsibilities serving as Iron Galaxy’s sole CEO.
During Boyes tenure, Iron Galaxy shipped several titles including its original IP Rumbleverse. In recent years, the studio has expanded its work-for-hire and co-development business for top gaming franchises such as Fortnite, Overwatch, Fallout, Apex Legends and The Last of Us.
In addition to Blasko, Iron Galaxy will still have its founder — Dave Lang — serving in a leadership role at the studio. Boyes thanked both Land and Blasko in the blog post announcing his departure.

Boyes will stay on with Iron Galaxy through the end of 2024. While he did not share details his plans going forward, its clear he isn’t moving on from gaming.
“As for what’s next? I’ll talk about that later. The most I can say right now is that an industry that I love is suffering. My new inspirations are to find ways to help people who make games solve their biggest problems. But that is a story for another time…,” said Boyes. “Creating video games is a passionate endeavor for passionate people, and our industry needs help more than ever before. You haven’t heard the last from me, and neither has IG.”
